So you are on a diet. But how many grams of fat should you eat
every day as a part of that diet.
The answer is easy. It takes 2 steps. First, the amount of fat
should be limited to 20% of your total calories.
So, is you are on a 1800 calories a day diet, the total amount of
fat --all fat-- not exceed 20% of 1800. Thats 360 calories.
Now, to figure out how many grams of fat are in 360 calories,
just divide by 9. That's 40.
So, you are limited to 40 grams of fat if you are on a 1800
calories diet.
Here is a table showing the grams of fat you are limited to for
different daily calorie amounts
Total Number of Calories You Eat => Maximum Fat Grams You Should Eat
Daily
2000 => 44
1800 => 40
1500 => 33
1200 => 26
