PostSubject: Hairstyles For the Gym   Sat Jan 10, 2009 1:01 pm

Hairstyles at the GymWhen you’re workout out at the gym, a distracting hairstyle can be frustrating if not downright aggravating. Bangs that fall in your face? Flyway strands that get in the way? Who needs it? Instead of spending your workout time getting frustrated over your hairstyle, why not check out these great ideas?

Simple Braids

· For an easy out of the way workout braid, part hair into two ponytails and secure each ponytail with an elastic hair band.

· Beginning with the left ponytail, take three equal sections of hair and cross them over to the center, one by one, working from left to right and pulling firming as you go.

· Continue to add hair to the center strand from each side until you’ve reached the ends.

· Secure the braid with an elastic hair band. Repeat the process for the second ponytail.

Double Braid Updo

· Part hair into two ponytails and secure each ponytail with an elastic hair band.

· Braid each of the ponytails using the simple braids technique.

· Now, take the left side of the braided ponytail and pull it up, and on top of your head.

· Secure the braid with bobby pins. Repeat with the second braid.

Mini-Braids

· If you have long bangs that get in your way while working out, you can pull them away from the face with mini-braids.

· Start by parting your bangs down the center and braiding two very small braids using the simple braids technique.

· Bring the braids back and away from the face and fasten together with a small elastic hair band to complete the look.

Braided Buns

· Part hair into two ponytails and secure with elastic hair bands. Braid each of the ponytails using the simple braids technique, but leave the ends unsecured.

· Roll the end of each braid until it coils into a bun.

· Secure the buns with bobby pins.

A Simple Bun

· If braids aren’t really your style or there’s simply not enough time before your workout, a simple bun is just as easy to create.

· To begin, pull hair back into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic hair band.

· Twist the end of the ponytail until it coils around the elastic hair band.

· Secure the bun’s coil using bobby pins.

An Easy Twist

· For an even easier workout hairdo, Start by, pulling back your hair into a high ponytail and then securing it with an elastic hair band.

· Now, grasp the nape of the ponytail with one hand and twirl it into a twist.

· Secure the twist using a claw hair clip.

The above hairstyles are just a few of the many ideas you can create for your workout at the gym. Experiment! While one hairstyle might not work for you, another might just be perfect. Also, don’t be afraid to create your own hairstyle. You never know how popular it may turn out to be!
